Amethyst
I painted this eco-print with watercolor and then digitally altered it. It's always fun combining my favorite mediums to create textural pieces. Looking forward to doing another eco-print run very soon.

Dogwood Bliss
On another trip to Schreiner's Iris Garden, I stumbled upon this gorgeous Dogwood tree in perfect bloom. Then I changed everything about it, giving it a pearly surface to the petals.

Kissing The Sky
I took this photo a few years ago. In altering the existing beauty, I wanted to give it a more dramatic presence. Seems like red did the trick.

Primavera
While walking with a friend in Hendricks Park (Eugene, Oregon), we came upon a beautiful dogwood. Of course, I had to digitally alter it with other images and textures. I am in love with this piece.

Singin' theBlues
I have a thing for leaves of all seasons, but I hold a special place for the leaves of autumn. These lie on the ground, cracked and curled and their textures were deep. Fallen leaves. Of course, I had to change them up, because that's what I tend to do. Presenting…The Blues.

Subterranean Blues
An eco-print that has been digitally altered with the addition of a bit of watercolor. (An eco-print is made by stacking papers and plant matter and boiling them in a prepared bath. The tannins from the plants then imprint on the paper). I altered the print with several photographs, an etched metal plate, and handmade textures.
Archival print. 15 x 5/$85, 18 x 6/$105, Greeting Card/$4

The Sentinel
I took the original photo of this bare tree at Edgefield, outside of Portland, Oregon. This is one of several renditions. I digitally altered this piece, and then used the Prisma app on it (sometimes I can’t help myself…it’s a really fun app) and then greatly altered it again in Photoshop, using photographic textural images, an etched copper plate, and fabric. I added the crow because…well…it needed one.

Wallflowers
Today was a wonderful tease as I anxiously await spring. A variety of poppies from different Oregon gardens. I really love poppies, as many of you already know.
Photographs, monotype print, handmade textured paper, and a photo of a piece of shale.

Wild Thang
This gorgeous tree stands along a forest path at Dorris Ranch in Springfield, Oregon. It looked the like sun was hitting from several directions, so I played that up in altering it. I actually took this phone with my phone and initially altered it with a phone app (Prisma), and then worked with it some more in Photoshop. Winter's Dream
Ice encased eucalyptus. The result of an ice storm where the ice formed a thick coating over everything. I was sure that my treasured eucalyptus had met its end, so I decided to honor it by creating an image with it. I was shocked to see it come back to life later that spring.
